Fresh for all Kick-OffFRESH FOR ALL is a community of gardeners, businesses, organizations and individuals in Hastings Prince Edward working together to share fresh food.

Carson Arthur, HGTV television personality, outdoor expert for Cityline and a Wellington area resident, produced a video to help promote the Hastings-Prince Edward Fresh for All food security campaign.

Second Helpings – Food Reclamation

 

Member organizations and community partners wishing to donate leftover food from meetings and events are encouraged to read Food Safety for Donated Foods.  A listing of local food banks and meal programs can be found on the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health website at Food Access Guide.

 

Mandate

The Working Group is responsible for identifying and implementing one or more actionable projects that will improve access to healthy food by children, youth and families in Hastings-Prince Edward.

Working Group Membership

The Working Group is comprised of a broad spectrum of community service providers and individuals committed to furthering the mandate.  The Children and Youth Services Network, Community Gardens Network, Vital Signs Food Group and Poverty Roundtable are represented.  The group is supported by the CYSN Coordinator.
