The Harm Reduction Task Force of Hastings & Prince Edward, in partnership the Children and Youth Services Network and Community Services Network, are planning this year’s addictions and mental health event for Wednesday, May 3rd at Centennial Secondary School called “Hold Mommy’s Cigarette” featuring comedian Shelley Marshall. Two two sessions will be offered this year from 1-4pm and 7-9pm. The cost of the afternoon session is $25 per person. To encourage attendance by the community, the evening session will be offered on a “pay as you can” basis.
The poster with details about registration will be distributed shortly.
The content of Shelley’s presentation – which focuses on her lived experience with addiction and mental illness – is most appropriate for mature audiences. Anyone wishing to accompany or refer youth to this event are encouraged to watch a YouTube preview – CLICK HERE.
In keeping with tradition, the Community Service Expo will be held in conjunction with this event. If your organization would like to exhibit, please contact me by March 24th. I am hoping to have the list of exhibitors somewhat finalized before my departure from the CYSN on March 31st. Many thanks!
