ASIST WORKSHOP:  Please CLICK HERE for a flyer outlining information on ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), a certified, interactive training program of Living Works Education.

The emphasis of the ASIST workshop is on suicide first-aid, to help a person at risk stay safe and seek further help.  Attendance at the full two days is required in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Learn how to:

  • Recognize invitations to help
  • Reach out and offer support
  • Review the risk of suicide
  • Apply a suicide intervention model
  • Link people with community resources

Training will be held on December 6-7 from 8:30-4:00 at the Thrift Lodge (formerly Peachtree Inn), 1187 Princess Street in Kingston. Cost is $225 plus HST and includes the 2 days of training, a manual and a certificate issued from Living Works Education.  Please note that lunch is not included.
