Girls Inc. Needs Work Placement Employers

Girls Inc. is accepting applications for their October sessions of Smart Start from work placement employers as well as young women interested in participating.

Smart Start (formerly FOCUS program) is a 22-week youth employment program providing employment readiness workshops and work experience for youth women.


CLICK HERE for our Employer Information and Agreement which provides more information about how you can receive the assistance of a new staff member for 20 weeks, while helping to improve employment options for youth women here in our community.

CLICK HERE for our Participant Application Form.  We invite you to refer any young woman between the ages of 15 and 30 who is living in the area and not currently working or in school.  In 2016 we will support 28 young women – 14 in Kingston and 14 in Belleville.
