Student Mental Health and Well Being is Everyone’s Responsibility

Tasked with improving academic as well as non-academic outcomes for kids, members of the CYSN’s former Integration with Education Team developed a resource to increase awareness around mental health supports and facilitate collaborative action between school boards and community agencies in partnership with families and youth.

Funded by the Student Support Leadership Initiative (SSLI), a joint initiative of the Ministries of Education and Children and Youth Services from 2008 to 2013, the CYSN Checkered Flags Guidebook was launched, in combination with No Wrong Door training, to school board personnel and member organizations across Hastings-Prince Edward in the Spring of 2013.

For new members, and existing members not familiar with this comprehensive mental health resource, an electronic version is available under the RESOURCES section of this website.  I also have a small supply of paper copies left – just let me know if you would like some.
