COMMUNITY HUBS:  Karen Pitre has been appointed Special Advisor to the Premier’s new Community Hub Framework Advisory Group.  This Advisory Group will “review provincial policies and develop a framework for adapting existing public assets to become community hubs.”  Community input is being gathered to support this work.  See May 1st letter from George Zegarac, Deputy Minister – ENGLISH and FRENCH.  Information can also be found on the new Community Hubs website at  Written submissions and an online consultation form are being used to gather feedback from individuals, organizations and groups.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY:  The Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise is inviting submissions for grants to fund local (Quinte area) community service projects, and international service projects. Please CLICK HERE for details.  Applications are due September 1, 2015 at 4pm.

YOUTH DIVERSION is excited to be providing a training session on June 18th, 9am-4pm, United Way Quinte, 55 Harriett Street, Belleville for professionals working with children and youth on early identification and intervention for youth with substance use and addictions issues.  This training is designed to enhance the level of support to youth, and ensure that children and youth receive an optimal level of service.  The workshop is free and participants are responsible for lunch.  For more information, refer to the INVITATION and TRAINING OUTLINE.  Please register with the Youth Diversion Program by June 11th.
