FAMILY SPACE QUINTE RE-LOCATION:  Office staff are now happily ensconced at 100 Station Street in Belleville.  New playrooms will open at the new location on April 13th.  Please pass the news along to your families with young children.

GREAT NEWS! A Belleville Youth Centre deputation was accepted by Belleville City Council. A team of four presented a strong case for support on March 23rd and it was approved, accepted and agreed that youth are an important issue. Council made a motion and approved for a city staff to help the development team. They provided information only, not a request for anything specific, and plan to return in a few months with an update.  CLICK HERE for more information.

JOB POSTING:  The Ministry of Children and Youth Services is looking for a Research Analyst to assist with the Aboriginal Children and Youth Strategy. This position would be a secondment from an Aboriginal community/organization to the ministry for a one-year term.  The deadline to apply is April 24th.  CLICK HERE for details.

ONLINE SERVICE PROVIDER TRAINING: This webinar will introduce the online learning program created by the Best Start Resource Centre. The purpose of this program is to address some of the issues raised by the recent report from the Healthy Kids Panel, No Time to Wait. The webinar will benefit managers and front-line workers who work with children aged 2-11 in the following sectors: recreation, public health, community health, education, childcare and social service.
