Cultural Awareness Toolkit Now Available

Tyendinaga Pow Wow 2014

Tyendinaga Pow Wow 2014

One of the tasks completed by the Aboriginal Planning Group in 2014/2015 was to assemble a cultural awareness toolkit for use by member organizations and community partners.

We hope that these resource materials about First Nation, Metis and Inuit (FNMI) history, culture and traditions will assist service providers across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties in working more effectively with each other to support the aboriginal children, youth and families they serve.

Resources also contain information about modern day issues that face Aboriginal people in and outside of our catchment area.  This is a work in progress and will be updated as new resources are identified.

The toolkit can be found on this website under the ABOUT tab.
