Hello CYSN Members and Community Partners,

CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES ACT REVIEW:   The CFSA, which governs child welfare, youth justice services, secure treatment, children’s developmental services, residential services, community support services, Indian and native child and family services, and adoption within Ontario, is currently undergoing a review by MCYS, with a focus on outcomes for children and youth, and clear language.  Regional engagement sessions with agencies, organizations, associations and service providers, and with families have been scheduled over the next couple of months.  The Kingston consultation was held on Tuesday, October 14.  The review includes Aboriginal and youth engagement.  Findings from the review will be available on April 13, 2015.  Written submissions are also being accepted.  Please CLICK HERE for details.
