School Board System Plan Promotes Integration with Community Services

“Each of us is connected to the AiM System Plan through the work we do. In HPEDSB we are committed to student achievement and well-being. We all know that each student is an individual with unique interests, goals and strengths. Each should be given the opportunity to reach full potential. These ideals are the keys to AiM” wrote Mandy Savery-Whiteway, Director of Education, Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board after the 2014-2015 Achievement in Motion for Student Success System Plan (AiM) received approval from the Board of Trustees on September 22nd.

The AiM plan is a comprehensive document that combines Ministry of Education priorities and existing board and school improvement plans with input from trustees, employees, students, families and community partners.

Success for each student, employee excellence and community connections have continued to be AiM goals since 2010.

Please CLICK HERE to view the AiM plan which defines the five priority areas and contains proposed actions and indicators of success for each.

The priority of particular interest to Children and Youth Services Network member organizations falls under communicating with families and communities.  The plan sets out to promote schools as community hubs through the integration of community services and partnerships that support student achievement and well-being.
