CYSNetwork News Exchange – 20/06/14

Hello CYSN Members and Community Partners,

COMMUNITY SERVICE EXPO 2014: Planning is well underway for the 3rd Annual Community Service Expo which is to take place in Belleville sometime in October.

The Expo is a collaboration between the Community Service Network, the Children and Youth Services Network and Volunteer and Information Quinte, and is intended to raise awareness about the many services available to residents of Hastings-Prince Edward – families and youth in particular.

Expos in the past have been an excellent networking opportunity for service providers who wish to learn about programs and services and make those meaningful informal connections that often happen in a room full of like-minded people.

The original members of the Planning Committee – which include representatives from Community Living Prince Edward, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, TMFRC, Volunteer and Information Quinte, Julie London from Triple P and yours truly – have been joined this year by Community Employment Services, the Edith Fox Centre (Lambs for Children), the County of Hastings and Autism Ontario.

This dynamic group is developing all kinds of new ideas designed to attract a higher number of families and youth to this year’s event.  A Save the Date will be coming out over the summer, so please stay tuned!
