BABY FRIENDLY INITIATIVE (BFI) RESOURCES: The Best Start Resource Centre, in collaboration with the BFI Strategy for Ontario, is pleased to announce that the downloadable breastfeeding magnet Breastfeeding Your Baby has been translated into 9 additional languages.  Available languages are: Ojibway, Bengali, Gujarati, Korean, Persian, Russian, Serbian (Cyrillic), Somali, and Vietnamese.  To download this and other BFI resources, please CLICK HERE.  To learn more about the BFI Strategy for Ontario please visit the following microsite at www.tegh.on.ca/bfistrategy.

FOOD RECLAMATION introduced to Hastings and Prince Edward counties.  ‘Second Helpings’ Co-Chairs, Steve van de Hoef and Ruth Ingersoll will be joined by Loyalist College President Maureen Piercy and volunteers from Bridge Street United Church’s ‘Inn From the Cold’ program, as they announce Hastings and Prince Edward counties first food reclamation pilot project on Thursday, April 17th, 10am, Loyalist College Cafeteria.  Please see press released posted in this blog on April 9th.
