ADVOCACY: Support First Nations children to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and proud of their cultures by participating in Have a Heart Day and sending a Valentine to Prime Minister Harper and your Member of Parliament.  If you would prefer to send an e-valentine, you may visit the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada and click on Have a Heart Day.  Please forward to all of your contacts.

BABY-FRIENDLY INITIATIVE WEBINAR:  This one-hour, free webinar is for anyone working in hospitals or community settings seeking to implement the Baby-Friendly Initiative (BFI).  The Best Start Resource Centre developed this resource in partnership with The Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario to support service providers on their BFI implementation journey. The webinar will highlight how this resource can be used to support service providers in using a common language, agreeing on key messages, understanding the evidence base, and accessing resources to support the practical aspects of BFI implementation.  Time will be allotted for questions and discussion.

COMPASSIONATE FATIGUE WORKSHOP, led by Lori Tomalty-Nusca, RECE, Associate from Hamilton, for helping professionals and caregivers on Thursday, February 6th at 1-4pm, St. Thomas Anglican Church, 201 Church Street, Belleville.  Compassionate Fatigue refers to the profound emotional and physical exhaustion that can develop over the course of a person’s career.  The cost is $15.  To register, please call Thelma at 613-966-9427, x225 or email
