A product of the Community Indicators and Measures Committee, the long-awaited Community Report Card brochure outlines areas of success that we in Hastings-Prince Edward can celebrate, trends we are aware of and should continue to monitor, and issues causing concern.
The Children and Youth Services Network will develop strategies to help “turn the curve” on Food Insecurity and Kindergarten Students who are Developmentally at Risk; concerns that have been identified as “red flag” action items.
Supporting data was gathered from Stats Canada, the Canadian Community Health Survey, Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO – grades 3, 6 and 9 provincial test results), Early Development Instrument (EDI – administered to children who have entered Kindergarten) and community agencies.
The Community Report Card offers suggestions on how everyone can contribute to positive change within their communities and within HPE as a whole.
Over the next few months, brochures will be distributed throughout Hastings-Prince Edward. To order copies, or to explore membership on the CYSN, please go to CONTACT US.
